What Is Patient Health Information?

In many cases, healthcare professionals (“HCP’s”) collect data from their patients for the purpose of diagnosis, treatment and follow-up for specific medical conditions. Such data by their nature are personal to the patient, and are often referred to as Patient Health Information (“PHI”). PHI is thus an important category of Personal Data, but not the only category.
